About the consultation
- Frequency
My practice is built around weekly sessions. In limited cases — depending on professional indication and my available capacity — fortnightly sessions may also be possible.
- Cancellation terms
Free cancellation or rescheduling is possible at least 48 hours before the session. Cancellation/rescheduling within 48 hours, or a no-show, means the consultation is considered held and the full fee is charged.
What to expect after your initial enquiry?
The process always begins with a shared exploration to gradually determine the direction, framework, and methods best suited to your specific situation.
The first session
In an orientation conversation we explore the reason for seeking support and map the difficulties and stuck points you are experiencing in the present. This session also lets you experience the atmosphere of our work together and consider whether to continue.
Reviewing your life history
Over the next 3–4 sessions we review the defining events and experiences of your life so far. In this phase we already look at current concerns in a broader context and look for connections between past experiences and how you function today.
Setting the framework
If we both conclude that there is no obstacle to working together, we commit to the shared work based on what we have learned so far: we agree on the goals we will pursue and the methods we will use.
Closing the shared work
Either party may ask to end the process; this typically becomes relevant when the goals have been met or the initial concerns have eased in a meaningful way. Proper closure usually needs 2–3 sessions in which we look back at where we started and where we arrived: what we achieved, and what may still remain unexplored.
Important: If at the end of the first meeting or during the life-history review it becomes clear that the issues you bring fall outside my professional competence, I will tell you so and help you find the form of support that best fits your current situation.
